Hamilton Fraser has well and truly come down with World Cup Fever. As Gareth Southgate’s men continue into the World Cup knockout rounds, Hamilton Fraser have embraced the extended football season.
In the last two weeks, members of the group have taken part in two football tournaments with this year’s season being another successful one.
On the 14th June, we competed in Allianz’s Annual Five-A-Side event at Powerleague Shoreditch and came home victorious and unbeaten after seeing off various insurers on a spectacular route to the final – beating JLT group 3-1 in the final.
Callum Dudrenec, Ben Hooke, Josh Sawkins, Lewis Daniels, Chris Rowell, Charles Littleford and Rob Oxley represented the company in a fair and good-natured way and were a credit to the group.
Rob Oxley was given the Player of the Tournament award for, in true Hamilton Fraser fashion, protecting the thing that matters most – his goal! Well done, Rob!
A week later, fortune was not quite on the boys’ side – the annual BIBA tournament was a resounding success but unfortunately, after reaching the final, the Hamilton Fraser and mydeposits combined team couldn’t do the double and ended up runners up.
Despite winning the tournament last year, the Hamilton Fraser team can be proud of the football they played. This is the fourth year in a row that Hamilton Fraser have competed in the final of the event.
Once again, representatives of the company played in the spirit of the game and Reece Jump, Alfie Osborne, Chris Toulli, Ben Hooke, Rob Oxley and Maurice Williams all enjoyed their outing and showed their World Cup fever in the clubhouse after the game – watching Argentina struggle against Croatia. Special thanks to Robert Oxley for organising the event.
We’re looking forward to competing in both events next year.
