    Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance launched a new combined policy offering Medical Malpractice Insurance, Clinic and Surgery Insurance, Cyber Liability Insurance and Directors and Officers Insurance.

    We drove industry awareness of the JCCP by hosting a series of roundtable events that included insurers, manufacturers, professional bodies and legal advisors.

    The Cosmetic Redress Scheme launched as a result of 20 years of experience dealing with industry claims and Hamilton Fraser’s experience with Alternative Dispute Resolution.

    8,000 practitioners insured and £28m paid in claims since Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance launched.

  • 2013

    The independent review into cosmetic interventions, led by Sir Bruce Keogh, was published.

  • 2011

    The specialist healthcare insurance broker Ceart Risk Services went into administration. Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance worked with administrators to ensure continued insurance protection to all practitioners who were no longer indemnified.

    Hair restoration came onto the market and Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance began insuring it.

    4,000 practitioners insured by Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance.

    We received the first enquiry for laser lipolysis and we approached our insurers so that we could now cover this treatment.

    Our policy was extended to cover dentists, as well as doctors and nurses and the industry took off with Botulinum Toxin.

  • 1996-2001

    Eddie Hooker visited all of the aesthetic training courses in the industry and worked with the manufacturers to understand the products and training available to practitioners.

  • 1996

    After being declined by a number of insurance underwriters, Eddie Hooker (founder and CEO of Hamilton Fraser) convinces an underwriter to take on the risk of injection of a filler as an aesthetic treatment and launches the first insurance policy. Hamilton Fraser became the only insurer for dermal fillers for doctors and nurses.
