Due to growth, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and driven Insurance Account Executive to manage and develop the Medical Malpractice Account.  This is a client focused role which will require the holder to be proactive and results driven, actively promoting Hamilton Fraser products and services to new and existing clients.  Travel across the UK and participation in weekend events will form part of this role.

You will ensure that the Hamilton Fraser Brand remains a market leader in the sector by:

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing client relationships and actively acquiring new ones
  • Actively cross selling and obtaining leads for the range of policies on offer within the Medical Malpractice department and wider insurance division
  • Pro-actively developing and maintaining professional relationships with Insurer partners and affiliates
  • Identifying and participating in conferences and exhibitions
  • Being the first point of contact for Recognised Training Courses and affiliates
  • Delivering presentations on industry related topics such as claims and complaint management, general business acumen and risk management

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ general insurance experience within a Broking or Insurer environment
  • Experience in medical malpractice and/or professional indemnity insurance (desirable)
  • Strong presenting skills with excellent rapport at all levels
  • A sales focused approach to client relationships whilst ensuring that excellent customer service and advice is provided at all times
  • An excellent level of written and spoken English and Mathematical skills
  • Excellent inter-personal and telephone skills with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely with others
  • Good organisational skills, be able to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast moving environment
  • Sound IT skills particularly with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems and procedures
  • The ability to meet deadlines, keep promises and prioritise own workload
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment

Hours of work will be 37.5 per week 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The role will be based in our bright and vibrant offices in Borehamwood, conveniently located near to the M25 & A1 and within reach of Elstree & Borehamwood station.  Please note a full UK driving license is required for this role as travel across Hamilton Fraser’s existing and new clients will also be part of the role.
